Holy Moose, I won at the Halloween party

I am going to try and post a picture. Just as I promised Michele, I wore one of my Canadian shirts which is much too large for me and since I can't wear it any more, I spilled coffee on it to make it look more authentic. I won for the most original costume.
The party was absolutely fantastic. Lots of prizes for ticket drawings, games, pumpkin carving and of course lots of food. It was probably one of the most successful parties we have ever had, and I had the best time. Of course winning was an absolute bonus.
Now, we move on to the November and december holidays topping the year off with our grand New Year's eve party. Gosh, it's great to be a Moose member!!!

They actually gave out 4 prizes. One for cutest - (one of our members had a blue blanket around her with pigs all over it - pigs in a blanket). Sexiest - one of the guys dressed as a woman with a long red dress and long black wig, scariest - one of the women had a chef's apron and hat on which she put red paint, carried a hatchet and had hacked off rubber fingers and hands all over it, and most original which was mine because it wasn't a store bought costume. We got 8" Halloween candy dishes with corn candy, a Halloween dish towel and pot holder.

What a great idea for a costume, and what a great original costume. What's with the silver teeth? yikes! Glad you won, and glad that you had a good time;~)

Heh... that's just totally awesome! That shirt is great! I'm so proud ;) Boy, did you do a neat job setting it all up. The coffee stain is so perfect...
Congratulations, you really did deserve this one!

What a terrific costume and congrats on your well-deserved win! And I hate to bring this up but your expression in the sitting photo almost reminds me of Auntie E (though not the Halloween teeth, trust me). I think it's just the facial expression which reminds me of her.

I want to thank all of you for your very kind words and encouragement. It was fun dressing up although I must admit the hat and wig itched and I kept taking it off. The fake teeth were no picnic either but in the end it was all worth it.

Joan, you and I are on the same wavelength. When I looked at the picture, I, too, thought about auntie E. I guess I look more like her than we all thought but that's ok, she was one classy lady and I am happy to look like her with shades of your mom in there also.

Michele, I tried to wash the shirt last night and the coffee stain won't come out. I know it's too big to wear outside so I will make a nightshirt out of it, even with the coffee stain!! I can't believe I did that but I was going to see if I could get another shirt in my size from the company I got that one from.
