the way I used to be

When Joan was teaching my blog things, we posted a picture of the way I looked at Valentines day this past February. Here is the way I looked before I had the stomach bypass surgery. This was taken in December 2005 and I had the surgery in February 2006. As you can see, I really did need to have it because I was pretty darn big. I have lost 144 lbs. I still have about 40 to go mostly stomach and I really should exercise but so far I just keep thinking about it.

Congratulations on your weight loss but I just have to say that regardless of your size, you have an absolutely gorgeous smile!

I am impressed that you were able to upload a photo by yourself. Joan really is a good teacher. I think that you look even better in person.

I agree with all three comments! Your smile AND your inner beauty will always be a couple of your strongest points. I am just glad you are more comfortable. Don't think about execise - think about moving more. Do not park the car next to the entrance. Don't have the phone next to where you are sitting - and a whole bunch more. It really does help and it really is a start.
You are just so impressive!

It's great that you've lost all those pounds.
And Linda's right, Moosie, you do have a dazzling smile.

Lynn, I am your only oldest cousin - you must to be kind to old me, but I thank you for your wonderful compliment.

Carol, you have seen the before and after so you know how much happier I am now. I just can't eat in any Moose Lodges because it's always starches or fried but good tasting...sigh!!!

Pea, Linda, Patti, thanks for the compliments. It would be so easy to say that losing the pounds was tough but to be completely honest, after I had the surgery, it was the easiest thing I have done, and I would recommend it to anyone who is morbidly overweight. I just wish there was such an easy way to quit smoking!!!
